Hello Kitty Acrylic Painting on Canvas

I LOVE just going through Etsy and seeing the magic other people make. I stumbled upon this gem one day and thought O BOY! I could TOTALLY make one.....and could add GLITTER to it! I used regular cheap acrylic paint (you know the small bottles that go on sale at Michaels/Ac Moore for like .50Cents sometimes?) Modpodge and glitter to make this....I'll put basic steps below.

PERFECT DIY Do it yourself Project for wall decor to spruce up any room or gift for someone who likes Hello Kitty.

Step one...Lightly pencil in a rough drawing of Hello Kitty and how you want her to look. Make sure you have a clean eraser on hand in case you need to adjust some things.

Step Two...Paint her in with black- outline her nose and bow in black. (You could also substitute her signature bow with a flower or any other shape you want) Let it dry.

Step Three....Paint in her nose a golden yellow. Paint in her bow as well. I used Modpodge, applied it with a brush to the inside of the bow and then sprinkled glitter all over the bow. Allow to dry 24 hours.

Last....seal with a coat of "Glossy" Modpoge, so it will have a nice shiny finish.

I am going to make some more when I get my hands on some more canvases! Share your pics with me if you make some.

Canvas Artwork

I had these lying around for a while and my littlest sister pointed them out to me and sparked some ideas. I had recently bought the Leopard print Duct Tape and this was the first of many projects I decided to use it for.

I used Acrylic paint and Modpodge to glue the pictures down, add the rhinestones, add the glitter and to seal the whole thing.

Pink Sparkles All Over Me Bracelet

Pink Crystal Beads
I LOOOOVE this bracelet. Its a custom piece I made for a customer. These beads are SO sparkly I fell in love with them the second I saw them. I know they made her happy when she received them. The  top pic is one of the designs I made with the beads. The picture below is the final version that she received. They make me smile. (I use the pic above as my desktop wallpaper)

Mirror for Nicki....

I had the rare opportunity to make Nicki Minaj one of my compact mirrors. I wasn't able to give it to her myself, a classmate of mine is a HUGE Nicki fan and won some tickets and a meet and greet to one of her concerts. I decided to seize the opportunity and try to promote myself....hoping a pic of her and my mirror could surface. I haven't found a pic or received any shout outs, but was told she said she "loved it". At the end of the day I am proud of myself for seizing the moment and at least going for it and promoting myself. I used her real name Onika, to give it a personal touch.

I used a high quality compact mirror, and Swarovski Rhinestones on the outer edge. If you are interested in one exactly like this one its $30.00

This Semester is FINALLY OVER!

I don't understand why I have felt so exasperated this semester. Last semester went by quickly and I enjoyed each and every class, even my Monday 7-930p class! I think it had to do with taking classes that met more than once a week. Oye Vey atleast it is over.

Thinking of the positive side......One step closer to my dreams!!

Ok now to the really good stuff....my *Things* I have quite a few new things and will share them with you over the course of the next few weeks. Todays post will showcase the first set of masculine bracelets I've designed. It was tough, as Im a true *Material Girl* inside. Thank goodness for the recipients patience while I found the beads he wanted and made sense of it all between classes.

He ordered two.
